The PEN Story, Olympus
This is a great stop motion piece for the Olymus pen showing a journey through time and through life. It was made from over 60,000 photo's, 9,600 prints and 1,800 phot's had to be shot again. There was no post-production which i find very impressive and very skilled.
This piece I can relate to alot. Not because of the life story but because of certain shots. For example New York, paragliding and the history of motorcycling in the family. Actually, most of it reminds me of my dad and what he has done through life. He grew up with bikes and continued using them when going through the army then swapped them for paragliding later in life before starting to get back into biking again now. The only thing that is not right is the running a marathon part because he said he would never do but who knows. I love this piece and sure he will too.

Buried Trailer
This is the new trailer for a film called Buried. Now I don't really put trailers on my blog but this one is a little different to the ones you usually see out there. I really like the way it has been made with a series of animated lines and reminds me a lot of the kinetic type stuff we did last year. This could quite easily be made into a title sequence as proven by putting the reviews with the images used. I also like the soundtrack to the piece as it is building to a big finish a lot like the animation itself.
Now the film doesn't sound that great. A man stuck in a coffin, with a phone, with RECEPTION? hmmm ok. So are we just going to be watching a guy in a box making a load of phone calls trying to get out? We will have to see but this makes me think. Have they gone through all this to make an interesting trailer because of a bad plot or a lot of people are thinking along the same lines and are trying to build some hype? Maybe I'm being harsh but we will have to see.

Making Of UNIFLU
This is the step by step production of the Uni Flu ad made and released in the states. I find pieces like this interesting seeing how a company goes through layers of production to get to a final piece. Its fascinating to see how much work goes in.
Bonfire have modeled a whole gym when they only use curtain sections of it. its unbelievable the amount of modeling work was put into this before it got to the animation stage. I think it is a well produced piece that is done in a similar style to Pixar. This obviously appeals to a large fan base which is a very intelligent idea by Bonfire and Uni Flu.

How You Feelin? Childline
I saw this ad on TV the other day and it immediately caught my attention straight away. This is target audience that they are aiming for so this is proof it is a successful piece. I think the projections on to the walls work well and sync well with the voices of the children.
There is something happening all over the screen and by having the guy on the bike ride through proves that it has actually been done and filmed. The piece portrays a typical urban landscape which is where Childline is probably associated the most. I thunk this ad will reach out to children of all ages and get the message across that Childline want to know how you are and that they are here to help.
Compared to any other ads I've seen by Childline in the past this is the most prominent and the one that will change their image and make them more accessible to children in the UK.

The Presentation, UPS
This is the third UPS advert by Psyop that is about UPS's professional printing and helping the small company owners.
The Close Call, UPS
This is the second of the UPS adverts called Close Call focusing on people on the move and the company getting in touch when a package arrives for you to pick up.
Rescue, UPS
This is the first of 3 American UPS adverts i have found. Ive put these up here because i like the 3D techniques (cheers rick) that is used to create them. I like the idea that the surroundings and characters are all made from the boxes used by UPS and therefore makes them relevant to the subject in hand. Each one is based around the ideas and promises UPS make and then creating a funny narrative to entertain the audience. The sounds are suitable for the narrative selected and combine well with the imagdry to create a unique style to their series of adverts.
